CHPE Certificate distribution ceremony held at KGMC, Peshawar

The Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) distribution ceremony held at Khyber Girls Medical College, Peshawar. The CHPE course is of 6 months duration and offering under the umbrella of Institute of Health Professions Education & Research, Khyber Medical University. The IHPER-KMU has trained the 80 faculty of KGMC.
Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) has been specially designed to fulfill the educational needs of the medical teachers in Pakistan and to train them in the basic and applied concepts of medical education. The CHPE program provides an opportunity to teacher doctors to learn basic knowledge about teaching and learning, communication skills, the use of information technology in teaching and learning and playing other roles such as a scholarly educator an informed assessor and effective team player.
Prof.Dr. Muhammad Daud Khan (Ex Vice Chancellor KMU), Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq (Vice Chancellor, KMU), Dr. Brekhna Jamil (Director IHPER, KMU) and Dr. Usman Mahboob (Associate professor, IHPER, KMU) awarded the certificates to the faculty of KGMC. While addressing the occasion, Prof Dr Zia Ul Haq emphasizes the importance of CHPE course and he said that who are involved in teaching and training must be trained in the fundamentals of teaching and learning so that they can transform themselves into effective teachers and trainers.
