CHPE & CHR Distribution Ceremony Held at PGMI, Peshawar

The Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) and Certificate in Health Research (CHR) distribution ceremony held at Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), Peshawar. The CHPE course is of 6 months duration and offering under the umbrella of Institute of Health Professions Education & Research, Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar. The IHPER-KMU has trained the 1st batch of PGMI including 40 faculty & trainees. 
Certificate in Health Professions Education (CHPE) has been specially designed to fulfill the educational needs of the medical teachers in Pakistan and to train them in the basic and applied concepts of medical education. The CHPE program provides an opportunity to teacher doctors to learn basic knowledge about teaching and learning, communication skills, the use of information technology in teaching and learning and playing other roles such as a scholarly educator an informed assessor and effective team player.
The CHR course is of 6 months duration and offering under the umbrella of KMU-Institute of Public Health & Social Sciences (IPH&SS). The IPH&SS has trained the 1st batch of PGMI including 40 faculty & trainees. Certificate in Health Research (CHR) has been specially designed to fulfill the research needs of the health professionals and to train them in the basic and applied concepts of research.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arif (Chief Executive PGMI), Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq (Vice Chancellor, KMU), Dr. Brekhna Jamil (Director IHPE&R, KMU) and Dr. Saima Afaq (Director, IPH&SS, KMU) awarded the certificates to the faculty of PGMI. While addressing the occasion, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq emphasizes the importance of CHPE & CHR courses and he said that who are involved in teaching and training must be trained in the fundamentals of teaching and learning so that they can transform themselves into effective teachers, trainers and researchers.
