University’s staff team and hard work is commendable: Vice Chancellor KMU

Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar in the short span of its establishment today stands at the highest level of knowledge, research, financial and administrative discipline is the result of exemplary cooperation and excellent teamwork among the staff of all cadres of the University, especially the role of Class III and Class IV employees in the process is unforgettable. These views were expressed by KMU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq along with Registrar Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Gandapur during a meeting with the Class III and Class IV employees of the University regarding their issues. Besides Director Finance Wasim Riaz, Director Admission Muhammad Arshad Khan, Director ORIC Dr Zohaib Khan, Director QEC Asiya Bukhari, Deputy Director Audit Arshad Khan, Deputy Director P&D Amjad Hussain, Deputy Director IT Muhammad Sohail and a large number of other officers and officials were present at the occasion.

Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq said that there is no substitute for hard work and sincerity, in the progress of life only those institutions were successful whose staff performs their duties with honesty and dedication. “Keeping in mind the large scale unemployment, it is a great honor for all of us to get jobs in different positions in an organization like KMU and the more we thank Allah Almighty for it, the less it will be”, he added.

He said that KMU is the source of sustenance for all of us and by fulfilling this duty with sincerity and honesty we can make it a source of halal income for ourselves and our families. Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq said that all the problems of Class III and Class IV, especially the issue of their promotion, would be resolved on priority basis. He said that promotion is a basic right of every employee and by removing the obstacles in this regard, this right will be given to them in accordance with the rules and regulations of the university.  He urged the staff to focus on enhancing their education and professional skills and the university will provide them with all possible support.

Responding to a question on allocating seats for children of staff in the constituent institutes of the university, the vice chancellor said that the university would look into the matter in the light of the higher courts decisions and prevailing laws and if there was no legal impediment this demand will be put on the agenda of the university’s syndicate. He hoped that all the staff of the university especially the Class III and IV employees would continue to perform their duties with more honesty and sincerity. Finally, the Class III and IV employees thanked the Vice Chancellor and the university administration and assured them of their continued support in achieving the goals and objectives of the university.
